Art of Falling in Love With Zen

Everybody is searching for love and wants to enter into a relationship that will last for a long time. Humans are meant to live a long loving life. However, it is a challenge to be in a relationship, finding them can be difficult, keeping and enjoying the relationship calls for a lot work. Many, even though how much they try to keep up with the relationships, complications, problems, disappointments do arise. They are an unavoidable part of relationships.

As Zen would have it, being in love means giving up all the fantasies and dreams of childhood and entering into a much more mature and realistic world. Being in love, according to Zen means, filling your life with positive energy, with generosity, making each and every moment of life more beautiful.

But the main question that arises is how to fall into a loving relationship? In the world of Zen, you may find the answer to that question. Zen is full of practices that help to clear your mind, opening our hearts and giving way to love and generosity. It leads us to realize what we are today, and discover the beauty of falling in loving and having a lasting relationship tomorrow.

According to Zen, searching for love and keeping it is the opposite of what we actually need. It is 'do nothing' that we should first learn. From a young age, a child tries to exercise control over others so that his desires can be met. He smiles to gain attention, cries when they need something. In Zen, control is fully surrendered. Instead, it teaches a person to grow into being aware of what is given and accept it willfully, live peacefully and take care of the world and the people living in it.

The idea of 'Doing nothing'

The idea of doing nothing is challenging and revolutionary. Most of us take this idea passively. When you are faced with challenges in your relationship, the last thing you give up is control. For this Zen teaches us to meditate which means no movement at all. Usually we move and try to fix things that could lead to a more harmful situation. We may fix them, but they come back with more intensity.

Similarly, in relationships, we try to do all that is possible in order to save it and maintain that love in the relationship. But often, there is nothing that can cause the difficulties in a relationship to vanish completely. However, if we surrender our controlling habit and do nothing, we will allow the world and nature to take action which will be for our good. With the idea of 'Doing nothing' in a relationship we are permitting our life and love to take the necessary course.

When you relax your grip over your troubled relationship, and stay calm and do nothing, harmony takes over and all the difficulties are healed and enhanced. When we honor our love and relationship, we definitely will be honored by them in return.
